Paul, our electrician in this photo is fitting electric fitted underfloor heating. In general there are two types of underfloor heating. The first, is the one you see here – completely powered by electricity. The heating strip will be rolled out beneath the wooden flooring for that extra warmth in the winter nights. The other option is water powered heating. This would be connected to your boiler and hence when switched on – will act like another radiator beneath your feet. At Ash Island, we think this is a great investment for that extra insulation and comfort. Besides, no-one wants that cold chill under their feet!
